We are Rebecca Segers, Katharina Götz and Marijke Nentjes (left to right) and we created human-rights-europe.com. We study Global Project and Change Management at the Windesheim Honours College in Zwolle and we are very interested in human rights violations in Europe.
Human rights are a subject that is very close to our heart, but we noticed a big lack of information regarding the human rights and their violations in Europe. A lot of information can be found of violations of human rights outside of Europe, while problems that happen close to us are often ignored. We spoke to various organizations that worked on human rights violations in Europe and that showed us how little knowledge we actually had about this. We tried to find a website where we could find an overview with knowledge about human rights in Europe and we could not find it. That is why we believe human-rights-europe.com can provide the information so many people want to know and should know.
Many organizations in Europe work on the protection of human rights in Europe. We worked together with a few of these organization to create this website. The organizations and their goals and websites are stated below.
